I think there’s a good line in altered events. I’d watch a triple jump where the first bit is a pole vault.
Or combined steeplechase and shotput.

@Gaolaitch@cupoftea.social ooh, what about Olympic events but the athletes have to dress as an animal and are awarded credit for how impressive their performance looks in character. A sprinter as a cheetah, pole vaulting as Tigger and synchronised swimmers as dolphins are safe traditional choices but if you can pull off an ice skating panda, hockey playing elephant or diving scorpion that’s peak ingenuity!
