how long until that language is expanded? I wonder; how long until your sexuality isn't an "immutable characteristic"? Or, hell, what's to stop them from saying some religious beliefs aren't "immutable characteristics"? How long until they make that claim for Muslim people, I wonder. It's not like they used a single iota of facts from scientific studies, or reality, to support their ass opinion. And in Texas, the RNC is apparently deep in its belief that "sharia law" is an actual law that is somehow coming for them and that is their biggest threat. Not, you know, fascism, climate change disasters, heat, their awful power grid, screwfly, COVID, etc...
The only end to their kind of reasoning is when it leads an outcome they don't want. I just... "mutable" vs "immutable". They have no idea, and they don't care. As long as the money is happy and protests are single day, ignorable affairs, they don't have to care.

They said it out loud SO MANY TIMES, that the "sports ban" is their wedge. They said it! In public! In written documents, on social media, on camera, on podcasts. "Well meaning liberals" who are "centrists" somehow are amenable to the idea there's some genuine performance differential that is advantageous to trans women... despite every fucking study having come to a different conclusion.
