@pepello@mastodon.social If a fascist or tankie donates to GrapheneOS via Wise, Monero or another method, that's our money now and we're spending it to oppose authoritarianism.
We see all of the work we're doing improving the usability, compatibility, privacy and security of GrapheneOS as opposing authoritarianism. It's far more useful to people defending themselves from abuse by states than it to states. In practice, dissidents aren't exploiting a dictator's smartphone but rather it's the other way around.

@pepello@mastodon.social GrapheneOS is an open source project which owns a non-profit organization. It has a total of around 30 project members where around half are being paid to work on it. There are people on our team who are various kinds of anarchists, libertarians, social democrats and more. We're not left, centrist or right as a group. We're not going to do more than label ourselves as anti-authoritarian. That is a core value of the project and that's who is attracted to work on it in practice.
