My parents, God love them, are driving me strange. I have a sign up saying WHATSAPP IT to avoid them breaking my flow. For a couple of weeks, they did. Then they stopped. Well, bollocks to it. If I can't have a Busy Bar, I'm building one myself. So I've got a Pico 2 W Unicorn (https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/space-unicorns?variant=40842626596947) from Pimoroni on the way, and I'll build the code to detect when I'm in flow state and update it. An updating status indicator has to be more effective than a static piece of paper, after all.
