I bought a 14 year old car two years ago... I was looking for a specific car from a specific time (it's a Suzuki Grand Vitara, so not exactly a 250GTO) and I never bothered to cancel the autotrader alerts. I'm still getting them. The cars it is showing me now, are higher mileage than the one I bought, and are more expensive ... so my 16 year old granddad car is appreciating in value. What the actual ... ? Side note: Back in the 2000's I drove a 2004 Jeep Cherokee (the ugly one) and it remains one of the best cars I ever owned ... that car, at that age, sells for more now than I got for it at trade in back then. I'm not entirely sure why I'm posting this, I think it's my age.
