I'm very good at exactly two things: reading and writing. If you had to pick two things, you could do worse. But when it comes to, like, aesthetics or planning or household management or exercise or diet or art or enjoyment or living well, I'm a wreck. I'm like if God spilled a person.

Now that I'm thinking about it, it probably has something to do with how we use money. My wife and I save as much as we can and live in terror of going broke. I don't think my friend and his wife are the same way. I'm not, like, worried about them, but it seems like they solve a lot more of their problems with money than we do.

@HG@beige.party 100% feel this. I hate being good at things that won't actually insure my long-term survival. Drop me in the wilderness and I'd last approximately one day.
