@Strabisme@toot.aquilenet.fr Well, that is not the *only* understanding. It may be unsuitable for deeper understanding, but that is the way the words are used. Environmentalism, "family values", "nationalism" , focus on economic growth, all kinds of good and bad positions exist all across the spectrum. @Nocta_Senestra@eldritch.cafe @GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social

@Strabisme@toot.aquilenet.fr That's probably directed at my too broad generalisation, "usually ends up" is too broad. This is totally beside the point that words have meanings, but for completeness: Extreme left where private property is all but prohibited, on a nation state level, usually ends up in authoritarianism. All the examples of it that I know at least. @Nocta_Senestra@eldritch.cafe @GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social

@Strabisme@toot.aquilenet.fr @hakona@im.alstadheim.no > Considering that the left only ends up in authoritarianism No one said this. No one said there are as many left wing authoritarians in Sweden as there are right wing authoritarians either. There are certainly far more right wing ethnonationalists there. That's why the far right nationalist party is part of the coalition government. This fringe tankie party has no national seats. Most of the ethnonationalists being right wing doesn't mean they all are.
