The AusAlert national test I happening at 2pm Vic/NSW/Qld/Tas time (1:30pm SA/NT, 12pm WA) today. All mobile phones in Australia will make a loud noise even if they are on silent or do not disturb.
If you or anyone you know has a safe phone stored somewhere that you don’t want somebody to find, you need to switch it completely off before 2pm and leave it switched off for at least an hour afterwards.
