6yo has been on-and-off afraid of spiders recently, but also watched Into the Spider-Verse last week. Me: “Want to check the mail?” 6yo: “If there’s no spiders or webs, yes.” Me: “But spiders are your friends now!” 6yo: Me: “Maybe if you get bit you’ll get special powers.” 6yo: “Not in this world.” Me: “Oh, that’s not where special powers come from in this world?” 6yo: “Nope.” Me: “Where do they come from in this world?” 6yo: “Your heart.” 😳😭
