#introduction step four What mental health means to me. Mental health became a major topic in my life when I was seven years old and the police put my dad in a psych ward because they found him in a trainyard and thought he was about to off himself And even then, my understanding of the topic was limited. My dad definitely went through a long series of mental health crises, but he was blatantly struggling to function And I find it rare that media captures how therapy is supposed to function
