1/ Looking at 2-bed rents in Cambridge/Somerville : $3.5–4k/month, 3x income requirement ! That puts you at ~$140k/year just to qualify. At that income, you could carry a mortgage on a condo in many parts of the country, and honestly, in parts of this area too.
