@IcooIey@mastodon.green they like to live where there is access to mud for nests and a good food source... we had them due to having sloughs on property and creek ...

@Lstn2urmama@mstdn.ca we’ve got mud everywhere. I’ve seen them make nests in the attached garage to a house where they left the door open a few days in a row at the right (wrong?) time of year. Mostly I see the nests under bridges when kayaking.
