@john380@infosec.exchange If you have one place you do your reading, you don’t really need to backend. Some RSS clients have also moved to use iCloud for syncing so you can have a backend-like experience without the ongoing cost, but I haven’t seen a free one yet. Personally, I use Miniflux for the backend which, while not free, is rather affordable for me and works well. It can also be self-hosted to avoid paying and gives you both a web interface and a sync point. But there are free clients that let you just add a feed - like NetNewsWire for iOS. I bet there are simple web-clients out there as well.
