@chris@socialbc.ca well if the river was in danger with regard to its depth, that would have been a nice detail to add to the original article, wouldn’t it

I’m no expert but I think for the moment, we are fine; that river is in no danger of drying up; they simply needed to preserve the environment as mandated by law; they even have a plan to refill the river when it gets a little too low, that’s great planning
I don’t know what their definition of “weakened” is, but it’s not obvious from looking at the river itself
Again, this had nothing to do with the reactors which could have kept going (but would have had consequences on the river), contrary to the wind farms that obviously had to stop (no alternative); both situations are normal, that’s how they were designed, none of this is unexpected
