@sophieschmieg@infosec.exchange @saraislet@infosec.exchange I’ve tried asking a few times in different places and always been told ‘no’ politely. Back when I was on a DARPA grant and subject to the Fly America Act, I flew with United a lot (the least bad of the US flag carriers, which is not an endorsement). Their staff were never actively rude but it was interesting how good they were at adjusting their friendliness and helpfulness based on your status (I flew with them without a frequent flyer account, with one, with silver, and then gold status and there was a noticeable increase each time). I am so happy I rarely have to fly anymore.
