For me, likely the biggest thing is the choice of expression in panel 2. This is still hard to describe but it's a very flat expression, without specificity? Artists with this level of rendering skill would generally do something beyond a generic distressed face.

@zachweinersmith.bsky.social AI distressed faces are a huge tell (and ick) for me. It seems like the LLMs were trained to distill human distress and know no restraint, like making a dish spicy by adding seven drops of pure capsaicin.
