Okay, you're going to have to explain how the other rescue doesn't have a problem with that.

It's a farm for cats with problems located about 10 miles away. They show up. They learn where home base is. Eventually they find their way through the cat door. They roam free on several acres of woods. Not ideal but better than the alternative.
