Let me try to put it a way that will still sound incredibly stupid but may make more sense to people. I've spent my life feeling inadequately feminine. I'm awkward and have no tits and weird thinning hair and a few years ago I discovered that wearing nails made me feel a whole fuckton better about myself. For the first time in my life I had something that made me feel pretty. And now I don't have that for over a month, including my birthday. I don't get to feel like myself on my birthday.
