musescore has something, never used it.
if you can survive LaTeX for docs, lilypond for music notation is apparently quite powerful.

@paul_ipv6@infosec.exchange Yep, I'm using both of these currently. What I'm looking for is more of a PDF reader that allows for annotations, and creating collections of things based on, for example, composer, music genre, etc. That's what ForScore really excels at.
