@emily_rugburn@lgbtqia.space sometimes movies just don’t click! I haven’t finished it yet, but I sampled and was vibing a lot with the black & white version in the Criterion release. It does change up the feel significantly

@kev@social.catastrophic.horse i think part of it is that older movies are much better at implying sex for example, instead of showing it. stanley kubrick's lolita is a great example because you never see anything and its your own imagination thats a huge pervert haha
