Opened a quick android observations issue. Not sure its helpful, but recording these observations in an issue is hopefully more useful than having a short tootstorm about it.

Also TIL how to take screenshots on Android. I've only been using it for... uggh... too many years now, and this is the first time - literally the first time - I intentionally wanted to take a screenshot. Now I know how! Screen recording on the other hand, is still something I don't know how to do. Google's help was no help at all. There's no "Screen record" in my quick settings.
