Went out in the shortest of shorts under a sleeveless dress that pre-op would be too revealing... it's too damn hot for anything more than this much clothing, and I was dreading it... would I be stared at? clocked a lot? comments made? Nope, none of that... several compliments from really cute women at the counters of the ice cream place and the organic store, a lovely conversation about Simone de Beauvoir in the book store, all supplies picked up without issue, a good chat with an old woman on the walk back home as we both stopped to admire the same flowers. I even stopped in at the newly opened spa place to just see if they were ok with trans people and to ask discreetly how they'd handle it... only to discover they've built the place to be inclusive and accessible and not only are they doing discounts for folk seeking treatments this month but they're giving secret extra discounts to trans people... like... wtf... I love London.
