I prefer #running in the morning - but with my daughter's athletics late on afternoons, my window for getting out has moved.
My body has not yet adjusted, though, so this easy run was hard. Heavy legs, tired body. It took some time to get warm, but in the end I found my groove and just enjoyed it.
I finished with 2k of what @nerdd@mstdn.social calls AIT (Anarchistic Interval Training = YOLO-style improvised tempo run).

These days, I struggle a bit with motivation (have too little) and exhaustion (have too much). I don't worry about it, as I know I'll soon get back to an equilibrium - but it does make long runs like the one I did this morning more cumbersome than they should be. At times, it felt like doing chores, and at other times I got into the flow and just went with it. But I had to work for it today.
