#BookReview time! THE RIVER HAS ROOTS by Amal El-Mohtar -- What a lovely, beautiful, sweet story! A tale about grammar and magic and sisterly love and music and fairyland and romantic love -- so many elements I adore, woven together smoothly and skillfully. It's very short, so don't go in expecting a long, twisty tale. And there's some poetic ground-laying setup to start, but once the plot kicked in, it really swept me up in the current! -- 4 stars
