Actually, I just do it manually with wireguard and IKE/IPSEC based VPNs, depending in what I have availabls in a situation. But I've considered Headscale a few times.

Given Dan’s posts about HomeAssistant I figure if Dan wanted to host his own he would, and I don’t need to proselytize.
