@i_cannot_today@beige.party I mean, that protects you from your ISP tracking you, but not sites you visit/trackers on those sites from fingerprinting your device and correlating that back to your identity from e.g. another site you using the same tracker that you signed in on, or your VPN from doing the same logging that you’re hiding from your ISP. Consumer VPNs sell the idea that they protect your privacy because it benefits their revenue, not because it’s actually good for you.
