Interesting. So facebook sort of pretends to offer a way of creating a page on the public web, but in reality it's a sneakily enshittified experience.

It’s why I get so frustrated with businesses who only use Facebook, Instagram, or similar sites as their social media presence. (Instagram does the same thing). What’s the point of having a “public” page if the general public cannot actually use it?
