@lydiaschoch@mastodon.social I do hate the "FB is my website" option. I get 48 seconds of the "public" page, then I'm asked to log in to continue, which I can't do because like millions of other people, I am not on FB!

@ellenmorrisprewitt@writing.exchange Yes, exactly. You can barely see anything before it wants you to log in. It’s totally fine if they advertise on facebook (or instagram, or what have you) as well…but if that’s the only option a lot of folks aren’t going to be able to figure out if they want to visit that business.

Seems surprising! or d'you mean it pops up quite quickly in response to clicking/scrolling on things? Admittedly I'm normally logged in to facebook, so I'm curious what you see.
