@vfrmedia@social.tchncs.de @snacktraces@hachyderm.io A few weeks ago I tried to visit a small business that only had a Facebook page. After travelling 45 minutes get there, I found their business all boarded up. They’d shut down and never updated their page with the news.
So disappointing.

@lydiaschoch@mastodon.social @snacktraces@hachyderm.io a lot of small businesses also do not publish a phone number or never answer it, so you can't check that way either..

@lydiaschoch@mastodon.social @vfrmedia@social.tchncs.de @snacktraces@hachyderm.io it's still big tech, but at least google maps listings get updates by locals. It's currency is better than a 2 year old Facebook page.
