@notavi10@critter.cafe apparently it's from a presentation (made with genai assets, bleh) coming from an investment firm, which is desperately trying to convince clients that "eggs do not lay eggs. geese lay eggs. if you want to keep producing eggs you need to own a goose." and I assume their point is something like "if a business sells off all its assets to increase earnings this quarter, that is not growth. they are trying to inflate their stock price. we should not reward this behavior. stop falling for this." edit: given that they apparently use imageslop, their point could also be "it's good for a company to lose a lot of money if they are building an artificial intelligence goose" but I dunno.
