#3GoodThings • The birds who built a nest in my tent (open on one end) while I was away have continued to care for their babies even though they’re scared of the big intruder (me, making myself as nonthreatening as possible). • I’m going down to San Francisco tomorrow for an overnight trip, with hotel paid, so I can help a friend pull herself together for her granddaughter’s wedding. • Today I lay for a long time—even dozed a little—in sunlight on the forest floor, which felt like food when I didn’t know I was hungry.
