But I don't want to discourage people. I doubt that all humans will die, and also with any luck at all some of our scientific knowledge might survive too. (Hmm... That's pretty weak tea.)

Maybe we can turn this thing around with people getting a clue, changing their ecologically destructive ways, regenerating the damage to the ecosystem, shedding heat into space, removing CO2 and other greenhouse gasses from the atmosphere, not putting them into the air in the first place, etc.
