Maybe all the people who don't have a clue will suddenly get hip, maybe all the people making so much money burning fossil fuel will just stop doing it, maybe all the people buying crap online and driving around and flying in jets will just stop doing all that quite so much.

I don't have a crystal ball. Now I'm a devotee of Sathya Sai Baba, and Baba said there's going to be a Golden Age, so that's good enough for me. "Help ever, hurt never." and leave fate to God. As a scientifically minded rational materialist (reformed) it seems to me that we are severely fucked, and things are going to get much worse for most people pretty quickly now.
