I know they are largely responsible for the negative stereotypes about us.
If you are showing pictures of children you support, but are in vulnerable situations, have the courtesy of blurring their faces, and seek their guardian's consent.

@dilmandila@mograph.social thank you for pointing that out. I didn't know the term; it's a great word to describe the risk of harm that is obviously there. I will call it out when I see friends do it from now. I've worked directly with @pacific06@mastodon.social and friends for years now. So @PeachMcD@union.place, the grift hypothesis seems implausible to me. But like you said, I'm not there and don't know a lot about these things. Other than that, we're all human, so I don't expect any saintly behavior from anyone. But we can try our best to treat each other with honest respect and improve every day. Be safe and happy y'all!
