i'm trying to figure out which linux distros i would consider for a new server setup, and i have some requirements: - release model (LTS specifically is not a concern) - ZFS kernel module in the repos (building locally or not doesn't matter to me) - no systemd - as minimal as possible and the choices i have seem to be... essentially just Alpine Linux? Debian has systemd and feels kinda bloated, the same goes for all Red Hat distros, Gentoo is rolling release, i prefer to avoid Arch entirely. what's left, besides super niche distros and Alpine? i think i'm "stuck" with Alpine, although that's not necessarily a bad thing, and usually i would use it without second thought, but the server i would be setting up would host all of my stuff and switching to a new distro later on is out of the question, so it should be future proof. alpine has dealt with a few major things in a way i didn't like, and the current discussion on a llm policy is worrying me a little, so i'm slightly reluctant to choose it now.
