@jeneralist@mstdn.science That's great! I've got to go read the research. (I wonder if it also compares against unvaccinated 20-24 year olds in the same time period, or maybe if they wouldn't have enough data.)

@poleguy@mastodon.social @jeneralist@mstdn.science The study looked at deaths recorded in the National Disease Registration Service, which includes population-level data for the country. Having 90% vaccination coverage seems to be enough to curb transmission and cover the remaining 10% by herd immunity. Obviously it's best to get the rate as high as possible, but these results are pretty incredible. Hopefully the numbers hold up as this cohort ages.
