@ifixcoinops@retro.social Wikipedia in general is such a weird place when people start gatekeeping on what's worth keeping.
There's a local version of the BBS culture, where the original article listed some of the known BBSes in Finland. That turned into a rope pulling match, with someone being hyperfixated on "not listing every never-heard box there" and people pointing out that the "never-heard" ones were multi-line systems with decade+ in existing.
I get some night BBS that existed 4 months in 1994 might not be worth mentioning, but it just got so weirdly personal for this one person. I think a lot of participants in that just raised their hands and went their way saying "fuck contributing to Wikipedia".

@apzpins@some.apz.fi @ifixcoinops@retro.social That attittude expelled lots of us from Wikipedia. We just don't want to debate with assholes who know a priori what's real (or relevant) or not.
