What 8/16 bit DIP microprocessors are still being produced? And I mean microprocessors, not microcontrollers. The 8051 is still available in some variants, but that's more of a microcontroller. I see hints of 8088/8086 2nd source chips still being available in relatively small quantities, produced by Renesas/Intersil. But are those still actively being produced or is that just new old stock? There's also a hint that there's still production on-going of the 65c02, but the DIP variant seems to have been discontinued. #RetroComputing #Electronics
