A gentle and earnest love song. Elton's in the studio to perform it, dressed in a black suit and black jumper and sunglasses and wearing a "BOY" baseball cap and banging away on the electric keyboard.
The night has come full circle: we're ending with Elton, just like that Morecambe and Wise festive special they showed before Xmas '99.

Rock 'n' roll giants Elvis Presley and Chuck Berry next on BBC4. BBC2 tomorrow has The Prince's Trust Rock Gala 1986, and Tina Turner in Amsterdam from 1996.
