"Nessun dorma" - Luciano Pavarotti
I blame Gerald Sinstadt.
The sports doyenne, who can talk as assuredly on opera as he can on judo or rowing, suggested that the BBC use "Nessun dorma" for its football coverage.
The BBC used "Nessun dorma" for its football shows. The chosen version was this 1972 waxing by Luciano Pavarotti.
Pav, along with fellow tenors Placido Domingo and José Carreras, planned a concert in Rome for early July. Could be fun.
