One i came up with myself, and have no real proof for other than “well just look at this shit” : Gangster rap being promoted as a way to get people to confess to crimes on tape. And to wear your pants in the most trip-hazard way possible for easy capture. Snoop Dogg and NWA and the like selling impressionable young black people stuck in ghettos that a path to success is to get infront of a microphone, wait for the beat to start, and recite poetry including your name, felonies, and area code.
