Ah, this is more like it. Peter, Janet, Pam, Barbara, Jack, Colin, and George have brought their living room to the studio, just like Madness did.
They're stage school kids sent out to California, and told not to come back until they can manufacture a hit single.
Sure, it's cynical. Sure, it's derivative and predictable and cute and utterly wonderful. Like the sun breaking through after a bad spell of rain.

"Mambo number 5" - Lou Bega Perez "Prez" Prado (you know, from the Guinness adverts), plus a modern rap, turned into the inescapable hit of the late summer. Lou didn't have another hit here, but apparently he's still doing whatever it is he does. #TOTP #LouBega
