I have to go to church. Like, I NEED to. But I am unfamiliar with all the stupid sects, even though I've studied the Bible and various texts. The first two are appealing because I am an extremist in everything I do, so I'll go all in. But those churches are far away in the cities. There's a Lutheran church nearby, and Martin Luther was uber based, right? (This is not a pagan hellthread, I made my decision after that seizure/almost car crash last year)

@SK1ZM@nicecrew.digital I used to date a girl like 7 or 8 years ago that I met while working at Chick Fil A. She was a Baptist that went to church every Sunday and I had never gone to church as an adult after an experience at one when I was around 15 years old. I really enjoyed going to church and it changed how I think about things and my outlook on life. The pastor seemed to always bring up things that directly related to me and the hardships that I had been going through and it felt really personal. The one thing that completely turned me off one day is when the Pastor had brought up Israel and that we should pray for them after something happened over there. It made me angry knowing that the very people responsible for killing Christ and doing ungodly things every day to innocent people were the ones that a man of God had told me to pray for. The same people that spit eveey day on the path Christ took carrying the cross while being beaten down. The same people that want your kids raped, your women raped, your people enslaved and killed. What man of Christ could consciously tell followers to pray for these people? You should pray on behalf of them and their sins, not for them and their sins.
