Waiting at the bus stop yesterday, 50+ year old intellectually-disabled guy next to me starts talking to me. Naturally I happily have a chat with him. At one point I'm talking about my household and say "there's four of us women, and one non-binary person". And he goes "you're not a woman". But it's not in a rude tone of voice, it's in a tone of voice like he's caught me trying to prank him. So I go "oh I actually am a woman" and he's like "oh. cool! you're really pretty". :)

Then a ~12 year old kid was like "excuse me? where did you get the pins on your bag? oh is that a trans flag! cool! I'm aroace" It's nice to get little reminders of why visibility is so important, so worthwhile. I never want to be stealth, I want to be loudly queer, I want people to see how happy I am, I want people to feel inspired and safe just from seeing me around.
