I totally want more library funding. Real books don't have a rental fee. I've been lead to believe that the ebook publishers charge a small fee for each borrowing that's paid by the library.

@hackersquirrel@kolektiva.social I hug you. Yes, it is very complicated re meeting library patron demand, and you'd be shocked what some of the checkouts cost for each Overdrive etc use.
