My gripe is that we're not investing the time and money into making materials and teaching accessible, compared to surveilling and explicitly distrusting students. That doesn't build a relationship, that doesn't build confidence, and that doesn't encourage anyone to collaborate with educators to learn more - it just treats education like an obligation. Wouldn't you resist being obligated to learn by someone else?
