I don't know who needs to hear this, but as of today I know at least one person does. Don't ask a trans person to talk at length about the intimate details of being trans, or your "nuanced" takes on trans people in sports, the first time you get to have a 1:1 with them. Even if they're a Public Trans Person Who Does Advocacy and Inclusion Work like me. Don't fuckin do it.
