While I agree with the reason, Canada is experiencing enough foreign interference in its affairs. Encouraging more may well backfire. Asking Canadians to lobby their own government would take away that talking point from conservative types.

@Mannanan@mas.to Nope. Carney doesn't give a monkey's left one for public opinion. But the opinion of other leaders and the folk he wants to impress and join? That means a lot to him. And if he wants to publicly side with the Maple MAGA to reject us, I'm gonna make sure the world sees him do it. Bc it would be the shortest path to PM Avi Lewis, which is the path to Canada for its people, and not its greedhound Maplewashed Epstein Class. So thanks anyway. Fuck worrying about the Tories. They'll make up in lies what we don't give them, so no point in behaving as though they're acting in good faith.
