@Firlefanz@writing.exchange I for one default to blocking people who do that. I might make an exception and take a less harsh action but one isn't something to be counted on. And once an account is on my blocklist, well, it usually stays there...

@Firlefanz@writing.exchange I generally agree. Anyone promoting rather than engaging is at least on my ignore list. Yes, authors and other creatives can and should promote their material occasionally. But only as part of wider engagement and discussion. This is also not Twitter. Where so many people just posted and never really engaged. (and doing as I do and putting links to works in pinned posts is almost certainly a better way. Have I mentioned my writing.....)
