Double (?) empathy problem: Autistic person asks for handling a situation in a specific way, that would accommodate their needs. Allistic person: "I would prefer do it differently." Autistic person explains in detail that they are asking for this accomodation, because it is necessary to make the situation accessible for them, not a nice to have preference. Allistic person: "You don't have to explain yourself." Autistic person: "Yeah, but I obviously have to. I wish I wouldn't and that you would have taken my need for accommodation seriously in the first place, but unfortunately that wasn't the case." Allistic person: "No need to be rude.
